6.

I first noticed the "Alexander" when she was about 250 feet away, she was heading in a Westerly direction at the time I first saw her.

7.

I continued on the course I was then sailing, and the "Alexander" coming on struck our port quarter with her bow, "Alexander" then considerably damaging the junk.

8.

A boat went astern and in about twenty minutes the junk sank. A boat was lowered from the "Alexander" and everybody on board the junk was rescued.

I heard no whistle blown on board the "Alexander".

And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true and by virtue of the provisions of the Statutory Declaration Act 1835.

DECLARED by the Declarant Lau Yeung) in at Victoria in the Colony of Hong Kong this Sixth day of April 1977 through the interpretation of Cheung Jsoi Interpreter to Messrs.
